Answer: The most
flavorful piece
of meat you’ve ever tasted.
Spiedies are chunks of meat, marinated and fast-cooked or grilled. It is a
natural for venison and other game meats. Spiedies are so easy to prepare and cook, and produce such
fantastic results, it is sure to become a favorite of yours.
In my part of the country, spiedies are
as popular as burgers. Prepare your venison by cutting into slices.
When it comes to flavorful spiedies, time is your best friend.
Marinade under refrigeration for at least 24 hours … 48 hours is better. Use the whole packet of seasoning, oil, water, vinegar and orange juice to
marinate up to 4 pounds of venison.
My favorite method of cooking is in
a heavy, dry skillet, on high heat. Cook until
resulting liquid evaporates but do not over cook. Brown
slightly. Spiedies can be served on a buttered roll
with peppers & onions, served as a main course, or eaten as finger
food. The flavor cannot be described; you just have to
try it. This will really impress your friends.
